Ingredients
  

  • 4 small (6- to 7-inch) whole-grain tortillas
  • ½ cup shredded reduced-fat cheese
  • ¼ cup bean dip or hummus
  • 1 ½ cups veggies (carrots, lettuce, spinach, cucumbers, tomatoes, and bell peppers), washed and chopped
  • ¼ cup salsa

Instructions
 

  • Wash hands for 20 seconds with warm water and soap. Have children wash their hands too.
  • Put each type of veggie on a plate or in a serving bowl with a spoon for serving.
  • Give each child a tortilla and a butter knife for spreading the bean dip or hummus.
  • Let children create their own vegetable roll-up by spreading a thin layer of bean dip or hummus on the tortilla and then topping it with chopped vegetables, salsa and shredded cheese.
  • Show children how to roll up the tortilla.

Change it Up
