toasted walnuts,
finely chopped (optional)

whole-wheat or whole-grain pocket style pita bread,
halved
Leaf lettuce, mixed greens, or baby spinach
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Whisk mayonnaise, sour cream, and lemon juice in a large bowl.
Add pears, celery, grapes, chicken, and walnuts, if using. Mix gently to combine.
Line the sides of each pita with leaf lettuce, mixed greens, or baby spinach.
Fill each pita with pear salad, distribute evenly until all are filled.
Season with salt and pepper to taste and serve.
Notes
Change it Up
Add chopped red apple, dried cranberries or golden raisins.
Garnish with fresh chopped herbs like dill or parsley.
Skip the pita and serve on a bed of lettuce.
