Ingredients
- 4 large carrots, peeled and cut into ¼ to ½-inch sticks
- 2 teaspoons olive oil or cooking oil
- ⅛ teaspoon kosher salt
- ¼ teaspoon pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 F.
- Add carrots and oil to a small bowl. Mix until carrots are well coated.
- Arrange carrots in a single layer on a baking sheet. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Roast in the oven until carrots begin to soften and brown, about 5-10 minutes. Flip the carrots over and cook 5-10 minutes more.
- Remove from oven and serve hot.
Notes
Change it Up
- Add spices, such as dried dill weed, garlic powder, or za’atar.
- Try this recipe with other root vegetables like parsnips, turnips, or rutabagas.
