Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons light mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons low-fat sour cream
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 2 pears, cored and diced
- ¼ cup celery, diced
- 1 cup seedless grapes, halved lengthwise
- 1 cup cooked chicken, chopped or shredded
- 2 tablespoons toasted walnuts, finely chopped (optional)
- 3 large whole-wheat or whole-grain pocket style pita bread, halved
- Leaf lettuce, mixed greens, or baby spinach
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Whisk mayonnaise, sour cream, and lemon juice in a large bowl.
- Add pears, celery, grapes, chicken, and walnuts, if using. Mix gently to combine.
- Line the sides of each pita with leaf lettuce, mixed greens, or baby spinach.
- Fill each pita with pear salad, distribute evenly until all are filled.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste and serve.

Change it Up
- Add chopped red apple, dried cranberries or golden raisins.
