Ingredients
- 1 cup plain nonfat yogurt
- 1 ½ tablespoons sugar or honey*
- 2 large or 4 medium apples, any kind, cored and chopped
- One (11-ounce) can mandarin oranges, drained
- 2 celery ribs, chopped
- ½ cup dry roasted peanuts, chopped, optional
Instructions
- Combine the yogurt and sugar or honey in a serving bowl.
- Add the apples, mandarin oranges, celery, and peanuts, if using. Mix gently.
- Serve immediately or cover and refrigerate for up to two days.
Notes
*Avoid giving honey to infants under 1 year of age.
Change it Up
- Use any flavored nonfat yogurt instead of plain. Omit sugar.
- Add raisins, chopped dates, or dried cranberries.
- Omit sugar. Add 1 pound cooked chicken, chopped, and 3 teaspoons dried dill. Serve as a sandwich or wrap.
