Ingredients
- 6 cups water
- 1 teaspoon salt substitute
- 2 cups elbow macaroni
- 1 cup light cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 cup light processed cheese food, cubed
- 3 tablespoons light margarine
- ½ cup egg substitute
- 4 cups skim milk
- 1 teaspoon sodium-free all-purpose seasoning
- ½ teaspoon pepper
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- Nonstick cooking spray
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 F. Lightly coat a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
- Add water and salt substitute to a large pot and bring to a rapid boil.
- Gradually add elbow macaroni. Return to boil, stirring occasionally.
- Continue boiling macaroni until tender, about 6 minutes. Drain and return to pot.
- Add remaining ingredients to cooked macaroni, stirring gently until well blended.
- Pour macaroni and cheese into a baking dish and bake for 30-40 minutes, until golden brown and bubbly.
