stewed tomatoes,

uncooked instant brown rice
Instructions
In a large pan, heat oil over medium heat.
Add onion to pan and sauté until tender.
Add beans, tomatoes, oregano, and garlic powder.
Bring to a boil, stir in rice.
Cover, reduce heat and simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Remove from heat and let stand 5 minutes. Fluff rice with fork before serving.
Notes
Prep Tip
Canned beans and tomatoes are typically drained before cooking, but not in this recipe. They provide liquid for the rice to cook.
Change it Up
Use any kind of canned bean you like in this recipe. Try using different spices like cumin or chili powder to change the flavor profile.
